DIY Santa Hat Strawberries
The holiday season has officially arrived and what better way to celebrate then by creating your own DIY Santa Hat Strawberries! Whether you are hosting a Christmas party with friends and family, attending a corporate holiday event or just looking to whip up some festive desserts for the season, these sweet strawberries will be a delicious way to get into the holiday spirit.
What You’ll Need to Make Your Santa Hat Strawberries:
- Strawberries
- White melting chocolate
- Coconut flakes
- Mini marshmallows
Step-by-Step:
Once you have all your ingredients ready, here’s what you’ll need to do to create your Santa hat strawberries!
Remove the green stem from the strawberry. No need to cut it off, just gently pull it away from the strawberry.
Next, dip the larger end of the strawberry into the bowl of melted white chocolate. Cover between a fifth to a quarter of the strawberry.
After dipping, immediately hold the strawberry over a bowl of shredded coconut flakes. Using a spoon, drop the coconut flakes onto the melted chocolate that is on the strawberry. Afterwards, place the strawberry on a plate, dipped side down.
Finally, dip a mini marshmallow into the melted white chocolate and then place on top of the strawberry to complete the Santa hat! As the chocolate cools and hardens it will hold the marshmallow to the strawberry.
